Job summary

Heady, a digital product consultancy, seeks a Senior Technical Lead to oversee backend infrastructure powering a multi-app mobile ecosystem for a leading U.S. retailer.

You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers, clients, and vendors, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable delivery of backend services in an Agile environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science with 6+ years backend experience (2+ years in leadership).
• Proven experience with mobile backend systems and API development.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Node.js, Salesforce OCAPI/API, and CMS-backed content systems.
• Experience with deployment, CI/CD, and scalable backend architectures.
• Excellent client-facing communication and cross-functional collaboration in Agile teams.
• Proficient English; experience with high-scale consumer mobile apps and e-commerce security.

Responsibilities

• Define and document backend technical requirements for mobile features.
• Lead architectural decisions for consumer-facing and store apps.
• Oversee code quality and CI/CD for backend systems.
• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• Ensure secure, compliant backend solutions and data deletion workflows.
