Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking highly skilled software engineers to work in a dynamic classified environment, building modular backend services and REST endpoints for Space Ground Solutions. You will collaborate with TLs and SMEs to design features, focusing on Java, PostgreSQL, and scalable services across multiple mission domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related STEM field with six years of experience.
• Experience with Java, preferably Java 11 or newer.
• Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with Java build tools, preferably Maven.
• Experience with GIT.
• Experience with Java IDEs, preferably NetBeans.
• Experience with collaboration software like Bitbucket or Gitlab.
• Must be able to collaboratively work in a pull-request environment.
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) software like Jenkins.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

• Maintain and add features to existing backend services.
• Design and implement new backend services.
• Maintain and create documentation about backend services and procedures.
• Participate in and host Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with the functional team and stakeholders.
• Participate in pull-request based code review for own work and others.
• Provide daily status on work in the form of scrum updates and/or comments in JIRA/Bitbucket.
• Participate in software design, code reviews, testing, and configuration management processes.
• Ensure software solutions meet mission, security, and performance requirements
