Job summary

Harris Geospatial Solutions is seeking a Senior Specialist in Software Engineering to enhance backend services within their dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive Java and PostgreSQL experience, and will participate in the full software development lifecycle.

This includes implementing new features, unit testing, and collaborating in a pull-request environment. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a Top Secret Clearance are required. The role is based in Melbourne, Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field and six years’ experience.
• Experience writing unit tests, preferably JUnit and Mockito.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and add features to existing backend services.
• Design and implement new backend services.
• Participate in pull-request based code review and scrum updates.
