Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on delivering innovative improvements for our engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive large, complex projects from design to launch independently.
• Address architecture challenges and implement standards in new projects.
• Lead code reviews, documentation, and resolve complex bugs, especially high-risk issues.
• Set an example with thorough, meaningful code reviews.
• Collaborate across teams on company-wide initiatives.
• Transfer your expertise in your current language to excel as a Java developer.
• Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend application development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science. Senior-level experience with languages like Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala.
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in at least one database technology (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience in building scalable, performant microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies like XP or Scrum.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs in system design.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decisions organization-wide.
• Consideration of customer impact in technical decisions.
