Job summary

Banco Plata, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple is seeking a QA Engineer - Backend (Go) to join the Core Banking Systems Team. You will build reliable backend services, testing in a microservices environment with Kafka and PostgreSQL, ensuring security, resilience, and regulatory compliance across Mexican banking practices.

You will own testing processes, create test data, write automated tests in Go, and contribute to CI/CD integration, while collaborating with product teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Must be able to develop and maintain test documentation.
• Proficient in Go / Java / Kotlin / Python programming.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Experience building/maintaining automated tests in Go/Java/Kotlin/Python.
• Experience developing and maintaining a test framework.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Experience in testing infrastructure and tools.
• Knowledge of design patterns and message queues (Kafka).
• English communication skills at B1+ level.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create test scenarios and data.
• Write and maintain automated tests in Go.
• Participate in CI/CD integration and releases.
• Develop and maintain testing infrastructure and tools.
• Document test plans and results clearly.
• Perform manual testing and on-site testing when needed.
