$180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

The Opportunity

We're representing a visionary startup building the first true "AI Chief of Staff" - an intelligent notes application that not only remembers information but proactively helps users leverage it.

As their next Senior Backend Product Engineer, you'll:

• Architect data models that power AI-assisted note-taking at scale
• Design PostgreSQL schemas optimized for high-performance retrieval
• Build processing pipelines that extract structure from unstructured content
• Create systems that automatically organize information without user maintenance
• Integrate language models to transform user content into actionable intelligence

• Have deep expertise in PostgreSQL performance optimization
• Are a strong Python engineer who understands asynchronous processing systems

• Have experience with AI/ML data pipelines and integrating language models
• Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments
• Enjoy building from 0→1 and shipping complete features in short cycles
• Django, Python, and OpenAPI
• Postgres and Redis
• Search and data pipelines built with OpenAI, Cohere, Elasticsearch, Pinecone, PubSub, Apache Beam, and Temporal
• TipTap (Prosemirror) Editor with Yjs
• Hosted on the Google Cloud Platform
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, Google Cloud Run
• Minimum 0.5% equity stake
