Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build production services for performance analysis and collaborative workflows. You will improve data-heavy experiences, scale systems, and ensure reliable handling of large datasets.

Responsibilities include creating durable interfaces, evolving data models, and implementing robust concurrency and recovery. Collaborate with frontend, security, and product teams to deliver complete customer workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience building production backend services and distributed systems.
• Strong foundation in automated tests, failure handling, and API evolution.
• Proficiency with Python or similar language and SQL expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production backend services for interactive performance analysis and collaborative workflows.
• Improve responsiveness, scalability, and efficiency of data-intensive product experiences.
• Develop reliable onboarding, validation, organization, and serving of large performance datasets.
• Create durable service interfaces and evolving data models for growth.
• Engineer resilience for concurrency, partial failures, retries, and recovery.
• Establish testing, observability, and operational practices for your capabilities.
• Partner with frontend, security, product, and source-system teams to deliver complete workflows.
