Job summary

Ingram Micro Inc. is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex systems using modern tools and Agile SCRUM practices. You’ll own features end-to-end, from design to testing, and mentor others as part of a fast-paced DevOps environment.

The role requires strong Java 8+ skills, REST API development with Spring Boot, and deep knowledge of JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, and Maven. Experience with GCP and modern tooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with IT emphasis (or a master’s with relevant experience).
• 10+ years of technical experience, 5+ years in web services development as a full stack/integration developer.
• Strong background in Java 8+ and REST APIs with Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, JUnit, Maven, SonarQube, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Confluence, JIRA, VersionOne) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Hands-on experience with GCP, logging/APM tools (Splunk, DataDog), and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement operating system components, software tools, and utilities.
• Define system software design requirements and ensure efficient system improvements.
• Mentor engineers and lead complex projects with limited oversight.
• Own end-to-end solutions, including test automation and quality aspects.
• Collaborate with product owners and SCRUM team on features, reviews, and coding standards.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and DevOps practices, maintain documentation.
• Respond to production incidents and ensure quick, reliable repairs.
• Translate customer needs into technical solutions while adapting to change.
