Job summary

Mashgin is seeking a backend infrastructure developer to build the software that runs our kiosks and the scalable infrastructure behind them. You’ll design core systems powering Mashgin’s checkout experience and work on infrastructure for deep learning workloads used by millions of transactions each month.

You’ll operate with full ownership in a startup setting, architecting, implementing, and scaling platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding experience in a professional setting.
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficient in Python with infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience designing and managing AWS cloud environments.
• Able to learn new languages and frameworks as needed.
• Experience delivering production-ready code used by many users.

Responsibilities

• Build backend infrastructure to perform scalable training in the cloud.
• Architect, implement, and scale platform capabilities for the product.
• Provide architectural guidance and troubleshoot complex issues across systems.
• Own foundational projects from concept through production in a startup setting.
• Maintain and improve production codebase for reliability and performance.
