Job summary

Agile Defense, Inc. in Scott AFB, Illinois, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with a backend emphasis to design and maintain mission-critical services in Java and .NET, and to build secure RESTful APIs in AWS GovCloud.

You will lead backend architecture, ensure service reliability, data integrity, and integrate cloud resources, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to DevSecOps practices in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional development with backend focus.
• 3+ years Java development in production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance; DoD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy backend features in Java and .NET on AWS GovCloud.
• Lead development of RESTful services and backend integration patterns.
• Architect microservices, serverless functions, and container workloads on AWS.
• Mentor juniors and contribute to DevSecOps pipelines and secure deployment.
• Ensure security during coding and CI/CD with automated checks.
