Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop and maintain complex software systems supporting mission-critical environments. The role focuses on backend development, data engineering, and API work using Python and FastAPI, with PostgreSQL database design and high-performance integrations.

You will build scalable systems, manage data flows, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust software in a security-sensitive setting.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
Demonstrated backend development experience.
Experience with data engineering and API development.
Experience building scalable systems with Python and FastAPI.
Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases with efficient SQL/ indexing.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics and real-time components.
Contribute to software component design with hardware/software trade-offs and system-level requirements.
Design, implement, and integrate software applications or perform software engineering tasks.
Apply engineering methodologies appropriate to development, integration, and production environments.
Ensure delivery of software capabilities using repeatable processes and industry standards.
Mitigate risks, control costs, and manage large-scale integrated software projects.
Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
