Job summary

Quindar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Flight + Plan team to design and build mission-planning systems for real-world space operations. You will focus on optimization, scheduling, automation, and high‑performance backends that scale from single spacecraft to large constellations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, aerospace, OR related field or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years in backend/software engineering with distributed systems and modeling.
Experience delivering production-grade APIs, databases, and cloud apps.

Responsibilities

Lead design/implementation of mission-planning, scheduling, optimization, automation systems.
Develop/validate algorithms for planning and resource allocation across large spaces.
Build high‑performance APIs and distributed services for low-latency workloads.
Improve scalability, reliability, observability, and production readiness of systems.
Collaborate across software, program, product, and operations teams to turn requirements into production solutions.
Mentor teammates and push automation/AI-assisted practices to raise velocity and quality.
