Job summary

Raydar is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build scalable Java backend services for automated restaurant revenue recovery, taking ownership of backend architecture, uptime, experimentation, and tooling to improve outcomes for restaurant customers.

You will lead backend work, contribute to customer-facing status and outcome experiences, and collaborate with product, data, operations, and support teams to deliver durable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software engineering experience, primarily building with Java.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM field.
• Experience at a leading technology company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable Java backend services for data ingestion, decisioning, filing, tracking, and resolution workflows.
• Contribute to frontend status and outcome experiences for customers.
• Design systems for reliable automation, integrations, and operational scale.
• Improve architecture, testing, observability, uptime, and performance.
• Run experiments and measure win rates and revenue recovered.
• Collaborate with product, data, operations, and support teams to deliver durable outcomes.
