Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and build the next generation of our global learning platform. You will own core services, create high-performance microservices, and set API contracts across mobile and web teams.

Lead with Rust as the primary language, with Go and Python for specialized workloads, and leverage AWS and PostgreSQL. You’ll work in an AI-enabled, greenfield environment with Claude Code, delivering scalable systems with strong test

Qualifications

5+ years of professional backend development experience.
Strong Rust production experience (ownership, lifetimes, async).
Proficiency in Go and/or Python for supporting services.
Familiarity with GitHub workflows, code reviews, and collaboration.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, AWS services, messaging patterns, and DB optimization.

Responsibilities

Architecture: design scalable microservices from scratch using PostgreSQL and AWS.
Core Tech Stack: Rust as primary language; Go/Python for select workloads.
API Design: build robust APIs (gRPC, REST) for mobile and web teams.
AI- Assisted Engineering: integrate Claude Code into daily workflow.
Code Quality: enforce type safety, concurrency, and high test coverage.
