Job summary

Zaelot, Inc. seeks a Senior QA Analyst to ensure quality for a mature Python/Django backend powering enterprise apps. You’ll collaborate with analysts, designers and engineers to deliver reliable releases across a large codebase.

You’ll own testing from scoping to production, write tests, review changes, and handle on-call production issues. English communication with a US-based team is required.

Qualifications

• You understand the problem before you solve it. You ask what the business or user actually needs, and sometimes the right answer is not to build anything.
• You own outcomes, not tasks.
• 4+ years building backends with Python and Django (Django REST Framework a big plus)
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL in production, including schema changes on live systems
• You think about what can go wrong. Failing dependencies, bad data, security and performance are part of the design, not an afterthought

Responsibilities

• Build features end to end on the backend, from the API to the database
• Connect the platform with hotel suppliers, booking systems, payment providers and AI services, and keep those connections reliable when the other side isn’t
• Design and run the background jobs that keep bookings, payments and data in sync
• Evolve the database of a live product without interrupting the people who rely on it
• Write short technical proposals before big changes, and review your teammates’ work
• Take your turn on call, help resolve production issues, and leave things better than you found them
