Job summary

Legora is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and ship products that transform how legal professionals work. You will own the full tech stack, from direction to delivering high-quality experiences used worldwide, with substantial autonomy and cross-team collaboration.

You will architect features, own the codebase, and mentor colleagues, while driving improvements and partnering across the company. Regular travel to Stockholm is expected for onboarding and milestones.

The role

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Legora, you’ll build and ship products that transform how legal professionals work. You’ll have ownership across the full tech stack, from shaping technical direction to delivering high-quality experiences used by legal teams around the world. With plenty of autonomy, you’ll tackle meaningful problems, collaborate closely across teams, and have a real impact on both the product and the engineering culture.

What you will be doing:

• Architect and implement features for our web platform

• Take ownership of our codebase, balancing high-quality code, security and speed of development

• Work with technologies such as Node.js, Postgres, Elasticsearch, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes

• Review code and mentor junior colleagues to support them in their development, making the team even better!

• Drive continuous improvement and challenge us, the industry and yourself

• You’ll travel regularly to Stockholm for onboarding, collaboration, and major product milestones — working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team when it matters most.

Who you are

• A passionate engineer with several years of experience building great products using cutting-edge technologies

• You feel comfortable working across the entire tech stack, with focus on backend development

• You’re autonomous and take pride in the code you write

• You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative solutions and think holistically about software architecture

• Experience in infrastructure and integrations are a big plus
