Dahl Consulting in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a Development Engineer for a 6-month contract. The role emphasizes backend services, distributed systems, and microservices, with potential front-end contributions.

Design, build, and operate scalable Java/Kotlin backends, Kafka-driven workflows, and cloud deployments using Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Join an Agile team and provide mentorship while delivering production-quality code.

Competenze

• 7+ years backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, and scaling microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and DynamoDB/MongoDB.
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• GitHub for source control and code reviews.
• Production support including monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
