Airbnb, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Marketing Technology to build and scale high‑impact backend systems that power segmentation, insights, and autonomous Growth Engine features.

You’ll own end‑to‑end projects, collaborate across Product, Design, Data, and Marketing Ops, and influence architecture and delivery at scale. You will work in a remote‑eligible US role, with opportunities to collaborate with teams globally, ship agentic workflows, and drive measurable marketing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Degree in CS or equivalent.
• Experience with large-scale backend systems.
• Experience building agentic/LLM-powered applications.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or Kotlin.
• Strong desire to learn, drive impact and move fast while maintaining quality.
• Excellent cross-team communication and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Scale the core platform to stay highly available, low-latency, and observable.
• Build agentic features for Airbnb's autonomous Marketing Growth Engine.
• Lead projects end-to-end across design, implementation, testing, experimentation, and rollout.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Marketing Ops and other partners to translate goals into platform capabilities.
• Partner with other engineering teams to build integrated systems across Marketing Technology.
• Advise teams on use cases, integrations, and improving system adoption.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident responses, and post-mortems.
