Blue Origin is seeking a Software Development Engineer to own and operate the backend infrastructure for internal applications. You will design data models, services, and integrations across PLM, work management, and MES systems, while applying AI practices to improve workflows.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with backend systems.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript; other languages welcome.
• Experience designing database-backed apps and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Production deployment experience with CI/CD, containers, monitoring.
• Knowledge of AI systems, LLMs, retrieval, and guardrails.
• Ability to work independently from a roadmap and communicate trade-offs.
• US citizenship or eligible status required.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate backend infrastructure for internal apps.
• Own ongoing management: monitoring, upgrades, data integrity, access control.
• Develop integrations with PLM, work management, and MES systems.
• Translate product roadmap into technical solutions.
• Design user experiences for internal tools.
• Apply AI knowledge to workflows and evaluate outputs.
• Coach team on AI-assisted development and standards.
• Write documentation and runbooks.
