Job summary

Red Hat, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop backend features for large-scale distributed systems running on Kubernetes and OpenShift. You will implement components for cluster lifecycle management, provisioning, and configuration workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Five years of backend software development experience.
Experience with Go or Python and distributed systems.
Unix/Linux development environment experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Familiarity with virtualization/cloud platforms and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Design and build backend features for large-scale distributed systems on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Develop components that support cluster lifecycle management, provisioning, and configuration workflows.
Build CI/CD automation, tooling, and pipelines to enable continuous delivery and testing.
Design and maintain backend APIs (REST/gRPC) with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Improve performance, observability, scalability, and reliability of platform components.
