Job summary

Photon is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for enterprise-grade platforms. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, and participate in release readiness and production deployments.

You will collaborate with frontend, product, and QA to deliver reliable backend features. The role requires 7+ years of software development experience, 3+ years in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and hands-on containerized

Qualifications

7+ years of software development in enterprise/web/cloud applications.
3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience designing and developing cloud-scale services in a containerized CI/CD environment.
Strong foundations in software engineering best practices: coding standards, testing, source control.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for high-volume transactions.
Design schemas and optimize queries using PostgreSQL.
Ensure performance, scalability, resilience, and security of applications.
Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
