Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who loves to write clean, scalable Java and own microservices from design through deployment. You will tackle production issues and shape the reliability and performance of a financial platform.

This hands-on role requires deep system thinking, strong debugging, and collaboration with cross-functional teams; AWS, Datadog/Splunk, and CI/CD experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with deep hands-on Java development.
• Strong microservices design and implementation, able to architect services and reason about boundaries and failure modes.
• Experience with monitoring, observability tooling, and production troubleshooting using traces and logs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage microservices end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Architect services with clear boundaries, dependencies, and failure modes.
• Troubleshoot production issues across service boundaries; monitor using Datadog/Splunk.
• Contribute to design docs, discuss trade-offs with peers, and implement robust APIs.
