Ro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join Tech @ Ro in New York. You’ll build backend services powering patient onboarding, care delivery, and insurance workflows, collaborating with product, design and data teams to ship robust features at scale.

You’ll own end-to-end systems, design for reliability, and drive performance improvements while shipping with fast feedback loops. Join a high-ownership, impact-driven platform improving healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience architecting, designing and building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Python, relational databases, and frameworks like FastAPI or Django.
• Proven track record of scaling complex, data-intensive backend systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems-data consistency, communication patterns, and service boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable distributed services.
• Own systems end-to-end, from architecture to production performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and other teams to ensure alignment.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability of production systems.
• Contribute to architectural vision and technical roadmap.
