Job summary

Nuro in Mountain View is seeking a backend engineer to design and operate the real-time, distributed systems powering our autonomous driving platform. You will own backend services for ride planning, vehicle matching, and real-time trip execution using Go, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate partner APIs, surface live vehicle state via telemetry pipelines, and contribute to end-to-end product ownership from requirements

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Go.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high reliability.
• End-to-end product ownership from requirements to launch.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (CloudSQL, BigQuery, Redis or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services for ride planning, vehicle matching, and real-time trip execution.
• Integrate partner APIs and route requests to Nuro vehicles.
• Operate telemetry pipelines and surface live vehicle state.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
