Qualifications

• 3–8 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience at a fast-growing startup or high engineering bar company.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) or strong backend skills with ability to ramp up quickly in Go.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing backend features from concept to production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical decisions and business impact.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features end-to-end, from design to launch and ongoing improvement.
• Build consumer-facing functionality with measurable business impact.
• Solve data-driven engineering problems, including matchmaking and fraud prevention.
• Develop and improve backend systems supporting real-money experiences.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and experimentation platforms to speed up shipping.
• Work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive projects to completion.
• Identify opportunities to improve products and systems and take on broader ownership.
