Job summary

Twenty is building backend systems that power its cyber and electromagnetic capabilities. You’ll design reliable Go services, model graph relationships, and ship high-throughput APIs across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You’ll collaborate with product and domain experts to turn operator needs into durable platform features, delivering mission-critical outcomes for national security. Strong backend, security, and ownership drive success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Go (Golang) proficiency with production services.
• Experience with graph databases and schema design.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues.
• Experience building and maintaining REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably AWS.
• Hands-on with containers and microservices.
• Secure coding practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services in Go.
• Build high-performance APIs powering workflows and internal capabilities.
• Model complex relationships in graph databases and optimize queries.
• Implement event-driven systems (e.g., with NATS) for real-time data streams.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to protect correctness, security, and performance.
• Build and operate microservices deployed on AWS with resilience and cost-conscious scaling.
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure delivery of capabilities.
• Partner with cyber operations experts to translate domain needs into robust features.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on API contracts and data structures.
• Evaluate new technologies to unlock better operational outcomes.
