Job summary

Pivotal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Case Execution team. You’ll own backend development across eligibility, batching, submissions, and orchestration, tackling complex data-driven logic to move cases through the platform.

The role emphasizes solving workflow-heavy problems, with collaboration across engineering, product, and integrations. Remote and hybrid flexibility is available depending on the team and role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with a strong backend focus.
• Experience building data-heavy, workflow-oriented systems.
• Experience with data-driven decision logic or orchestration problems.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment.
• Proficient in Python for backend development.
• Self-directed and proactive with good cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve core case execution systems: eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration.
• Tackle complex, data-driven backend problems and understand cross-system interactions.
• Contribute to workflow orchestration and end-to-end case routing.
• Collaborate with Integrations, Case Strategy, and product teams to keep systems aligned.
• Contribute to frontend/admin workflows when needed.
