BlackLine is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Pleasanton to drive the design and development of scalable backend platform components and data integration services. You will lead, mentor, and deliver high-quality, secure data transfer connectors across ERP, Bank, and subledger systems.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with product and architecture teams, and delivering automation-driven improvements in a hybrid, cloud-based environment.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in building Web scale SaaS with backend focus.
Experience leading design, architecture and code reviews of scalable distributed systems.
Proven ability to write high-concurrency, secure, scalable code and mentor others.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in requirements analysis, design, development, testing and delivery of scalable backend services.
Lead technical design discussions and make trade-offs on technology, performance and extensibility.
Mentor engineers, perform peer code reviews, and drive quality and automation practices.
