Job summary

Mintlify is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer in the US to build the core systems that power our docs platform. You’ll own APIs, content pipelines, and AI infrastructure, collaborating with design and engineering teams to ship features from development through launch.

You’ll tackle hard problems across content processing, AI retrieval, and infrastructure for thousands of documentation sites, with ownership and impact from day one.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with systems design, API architecture, databases, and production systems.
• Adaptable and willing to work beyond the backend when needed to ship a feature.

Responsibilities

• Building backend systems end to end: APIs and services behind editor, dashboard, and customer docs sites.
• Scaling our content infrastructure: ingest, validate, transform, and publish content from thousands of repos.
• Powering AI experiences: building search, retrieval, and agent infrastructure for Mintlify products.
• Performance and reliability: improving caching, queues, databases, and observability as we grow.
• Shaping product direction and engineering approaches across the stack.
