Job summary

Evolve is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join our backend team and own the design, development, and maintenance of APIs and integrations with key partners. You will work with Product and cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development with Go or NodeJS, broad AWS experience, and a passion for mentoring others. This role supports remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Go or NodeJS and API integrations.
• Experience with AWS services and Terraform.
• Proactive communicator with mentoring mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our APIs and integrations.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support backend solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and write documentation.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and testability.
• Work with Engineering Manager and Product Manager to define problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external integration partners.
• Debug multi-system problems and propose robust solutions.
• Drive engineering priorities through leadership and clear communication.
• Support code reviews and establish best practices.
