Job summary

AIDA projektai, MB is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a fast-growing tech company building AI-powered voice-agent infrastructure. The role focuses on designing a purpose-built database for conversational AI data, and scaling the simulation platform to handle 200K+ concurrent calls.

Candidates will own backend systems primarily in TypeScript/Node.js and Python, work with LiveKit and other AI-infrastructure tech, and drive reliability with high-availability architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in backend or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a purpose-built database for conversational AI data at scale.
• Scale simulation infrastructure from 30K toward 200K+ concurrent voice calls.
• Architect systems for high availability and 99.99% uptime.
• Own critical backend services built with TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
• Work with LiveKit, Temporal, STT/TTS, and LLM tooling.
• Build reliable pipelines for telephony events, recordings, transcripts, evaluations, and call outcomes.
• Improve distributed tracing and observability with OpenTelemetry and SigNoz.
• Diagnose and eliminate performance bottlenecks in high-throughput systems.
• Make architectural decisions around scalability, reliability, latency, storage and cost.
• Ship quickly, measure production behavior, and iterate.
