Job summary

Philo is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Ad Engineering) to help build the next generation of our SSAI service and ad tech stack. You will lead technically and serve as SME for ad technology across platforms and industry trends.

You’ll work with partners and internal teams to gather requirements, design services, and deploy scalable, reliable ad delivery systems at scale in a fast-growing streaming company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with SSAI using MPEG-DASH or HLS streaming tech.
• Familiarity with VAST, VMAP, OpenRTB and header bidding.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy, and monitor the next-gen SSAI service.
• Collaborate with ad ecosystem partners to engineer ad tech products.
• Coordinate with video delivery, ad ops, and data science to optimize ad delivery and viewing experience.
• Build scalable data pipelines for ad creatives and measurement events using distributed systems.
• Improve reliability, performance, and security of Philo’s ad services.
• Implement identity solutions for ad targeting and measurement.
