Job summary

LiveRamp is seeking an experienced backend leader to drive a petabyte-scale activation platform. You will own end-to-end strategy for activation back end areas, architect data pipelines, and scale multi-tenant workloads in a cloud-native environment.

Your work will shape latency, cost, and reliability for a globally distributed data collaboration network. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with partner teams, and push AI-enabled development across the stack.

Qualifications

• You are 5+ years of production-grade data engineering or software development.
• You have deep experience with large-scale data pipelines and SQL.
• You excel with cloud, containers, and modern data tooling (GKE/Spark/SingleStore).
• You collaborate and mentor others to raise engineering quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of a petabyte-scale activation platform with delta-first architecture.
• Shape end-to-end strategy for Activations Back End areas from design to rollout.
• Architect data pipelines using Spark/Dataproc, SingleStore, Kubernetes, and streaming systems.
• Utilize Temporal/Cadence to orchestrate complex, long-running workflows with retries and observability.
• Design multi-tenant, fair, and scalable systems with efficient scheduling and rate limits.
• Drive performance and cost optimization for large-scale workloads.
• Lead production excellence: incident response and postmortems to reduce risk.
• Infuse AI into development tooling and best practices across teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to cross-team architecture forums.
