Revizto is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable PHP/Symfony services. You will handle large data volumes, optimize performance, and shape backend architecture in collaboration with frontend, design, and QA teams.

Experience with Doctrine ORM and ELK stack is valued, as is a track record of delivering robust, high-load systems in a fast-moving environment. This role targets candidates based in Germany, Armenia, France or the UK.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in web service development with a backend focus.
• Strong PHP 8 and Symfony 5+ experience, including Doctrine ORM.
• Proven design and development of complex backend systems with high-load and large data processing.

Requirements

As a Senior Backend Developer at Revizto, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the backend of our web platform. Working with PHP and Symfony, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems that support complex business logic and handle large volumes of data.

You will have the opportunity to tackle challenging technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help shape the technical foundation of Revizto's platform and deliver robust, efficient solutions that support our product's continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services and applications using PHP and Symfony.
• Large-Scale Data Processing: Develop and optimize backend solutions that efficiently process and manage large datasets, including data volumes reaching tens of terabytes.
• System Architecture: Contribute to the design and evolution of backend architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term performance.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize database interactions, and continuously improve application efficiency and reliability.
• Feature Development: Design and implement new backend features and functionality, translating product and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality product features.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring system stability and efficient issue resolution.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, well-structured, and maintainable code, following established engineering standards and best practices.
• Technical Excellence: Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and stay current with developments and best practices in PHP and Symfony.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in web service development, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• PHP & Symfony Expertise: Strong proficiency in PHP 8 and Symfony 5+, including practical experience with Doctrine ORM.
• Complex System Design: Proven experience designing and developing complex backend systems, including high-load applications, large-scale data processing, and systems with complex business logic.
• Databases & Infrastructure Technologies: Expert-level knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Frontend Technologies: Understanding of Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, enabling effective collaboration with frontend development teams.
• Unix/Linux Environments: Proficiency in working with Unix-like (*nix) operating systems and development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• PHP Internals: Knowledge of PHP's internal implementations and underlying mechanisms.
• Software Design Principles: Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.
