We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who thrives in agile environments and is eager to drive technological progress while mentoring and supporting others.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Development: Work within cross-functional agile teams (Scrum), collaborating closely with frontend and backend developers, product owners, and scrum masters.
• Cloud-Based Services: Design and implement cloud-native backend services for a variety of internal and client applications.
• Technical Ownership: Take responsibility for complex technical requirements from analysis through deployment.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior software developers to promote continuous learning and team growth.
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Act as a point of contact for CI/CD, infrastructure setup, monitoring, and logging.
• Tech Decision Making: Play an active role in shaping architectural and technological decisions across projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• Professional Background:
  • 3–5 years of experience as a backend software engineer or relevant academic background.
  • Strong development skills in Java or Kotlin.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Solid experience in building and deploying cloud-based systems (preferably AWS).
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Travis.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Terraform.
  • Understanding of Design Patterns and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Working Style:
  • Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Committed to agile values, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
• Language Skills:
  • Good communication skills in both German and English.
