Base salary in the range of $150,000 to $200,000 plus equity. Minimum Experience Required : 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go. Work Authorization : Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We cannot sponsor work visas at this time. Location : 100% Remote.

The Opportunity : We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead our backend development efforts. You will design, build, and scale our backend systems, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions. What You'll Do :

Design and implement high-performance backend services using Python or Go.

Lead architectural discussions and contribute to system design.

Mentor and guide junior backend developers.

Optimize database performance and scalability.

Design and build robust APIs (RESTful or GraphQL).

Implement complex business logic and algorithms.

Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

What You Bring :

5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go.

Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

Experience with relational and / or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Expertise in API design (RESTful or GraphQL).

Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Bonus Points :

Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Contributions to open-source projects.

Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools.

Knowledge of microservices architecture.
