Job summary

Feedonomics is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Backend to define the technical vision for the domain and deliver scalable backend services for a high-performance SaaS platform. You will own end-to-end execution, participate in architectural decisions, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team.

The role requires 7+ years in backend development, strong PHP skills, and deep experience with MySQL, caching, Linux, and modern CI/CD with Docker.

Qualifications

7+ years of backend development experience.
PHP is required.
Experience with MySQL and database design, caching and scalability.
Familiarity with distributed systems and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Redis or Memcached is a plus.
Linux proficiency and DevOps experience preferred.
Cloud (GCP) exposure and observability tools (OTel) are desirable.

Responsibilities

Define the technical vision for the domain and align with platform goals.
Design and implement scalable backend solutions for a data-intensive SaaS platform.
Own end-to-end project execution, from scoping to delivery.
Participate in RFCs, evaluate tools and technologies to solve business problems.
Mentor engineers and drive documentation and learning culture.
Optimize services, monitor performance, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
