Job summary

Vontier Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to design and evolve backend-focused cloud and web applications supporting our fuel management and IoT platforms. You will provide technical leadership in architecture, backend development, scalability, and engineering practices, collaborating with front-end, QA, and product teams.

You will apply deep expertise in Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and modern web architecture to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng or related field.
• 10+ years in commercial software development with full stack focus.
• Experience with web-based app architecture and modernization.
• MongoDB design and query optimization experience.
• Strong Node.js production experience.
• Kubernetes deployment and operation experience.
• AWS services including SQS, SES, IAM knowledge.
• Unit testing and test-driven development proficiency.
• Agile/Scrum software development background.
• Excellent collaboration, mentoring, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test backend software for cloud/web apps.
• Evolve backend architectures for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Front-End engineers and QA on standards.
• Work in an agile team environment delivering iterations.
• Develop IoT connectivity solutions for fuel management platforms.
• Lead requirements analysis and software architecture decisions.

• Participate in design/code reviews and stakeholder demos.
• Monitor performance with partners and customers and resolve issues.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and best practices.
