Job summary

Goliath Partners Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer in San Francisco, offering hybrid work. You will architect and build core infrastructure powering AI-driven enterprise systems, focusing on identity, cloud services, and secure integrations with major enterprise apps.

You will lead from design through deployment, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable backend services while collaborating across teams on architectural decisions and platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in backend software development, distributed systems, cloud engineering, or infrastructure development.
• Experience building production software systems with focus on scalability and security.
• Experience managing projects through complete software lifecycle: architecture, deployment, support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work across backend infrastructure areas.
• Ability to contribute to broad architectural and technical decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize scalable backend services and distributed systems supporting AI-powered enterprise applications.
• Develop and enhance identity and access management capabilities including authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, and provisioning workflows.
• Design and implement integrations with enterprise apps and services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams, Zoom, emails, telephony).
• Create robust APIs, integration frameworks, and backend services enabling AI agents to securely interact with external apps.
• Lead engineering initiatives from initial planning through deployment and production support.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve stability, scalability, and security.
