Job summary

We're working with an innovative AI company building the foundational technology that allows intelligent agents to securely connect with enterprise applications and automate sophisticated business workflows.

The company is developing a unified platform that combines cloud-based services, enterprise application integrations, and identity and permission controls to bring AI-powered automation into everyday business operations. Its technology enables AI agents to work across existing enterprise systems while maintaining the security, governance, and reliability organizations require.

We’re seeking a Backend Engineerto help develop the platform that powers secure, agent-driven enterprise workflows. In this role, you’ll contribute to the architecture and implementation of backend services, cloud infrastructure, and integration frameworks that allow AI systems to interact with business-critical applications.

You’ll work across the technology stack, helping establish secure access patterns, improve infrastructure efficiency, and develop scalable services that support increasingly complex automation use cases. This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of core engineering initiatives and help shape the technical foundation of a rapidly growing AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable backend services: Build and maintain distributed systems and foundational services that support reliable AI agent execution across enterprise environments.
• Implement security and identity infrastructure: Develop systems for authentication, access policies, role-based permissions, tenant separation, identity lifecycle operations, and account provisioning.
• Build enterprise application integrations: Connect the platform with business software and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, email services, and telephony providers.
• Create integration and API frameworks: Design reusable interfaces, service abstractions, and internal tooling that enable AI agents to interact with third-party applications through controlled, authorized workflows.
• Improve platform stability and efficiency: Identify performance constraints, strengthen fault tolerance, and optimize the availability, scalability, and maintainability of production systems.
• Drive projects through delivery: Contribute to technical design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of critical platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in backend software development, infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, distributed systems, or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting production software, with an understanding of scalability, application security, system performance, and service reliability.
• Ability to independently advance engineering projects from initial technical planning through development, deployment, and production support.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with sound judgment when evaluating technical trade-offs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $270,000–$315,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
