Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Contract) in Coppell, TX, to partner with stakeholders and Product Owners to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include defining acceptance criteria, maintaining the product backlog, creating process flows and documentation, supporting UAT, and driving operational efficiency through data-driven analysis. 5+ years of BA experience and strong SQL skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within the SDLC.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and decomposing work into detailed user stories.
• Experience working on data-intensive projects.
• Ability to write and analyze SQL queries to investigate data and identify discrepancies.
• Agile/Scrum experience with backlog management and user story creation.
• UAT testing experience.
• Business process analysis and documentation expertise.
• Experience creating process flows using Visio or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and maintain a healthy product backlog.
• Define acceptance criteria and work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
• Create process flows, mockups, and workflow documentation as needed.
• Partner with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and support testing efforts.
• Serve as a key point of contact during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help drive operational efficiency.
• Participate in stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirement-gathering sessions.
