Job summary

Superior Energy Services seeks a senior, hands-on engineer to design, deploy, secure, and operate enterprise Azure infrastructure. The role focuses on Azure foundations, Fabric/OneLake platform enablement, and secure access management, working with DevOps and data teams without owning CI/CD pipelines.

Key duties include building landing zones, VNets, private endpoints, and audit-ready runbooks, plus ensuring cost visibility and governance.

Qualifications

Degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years in IT, including 7+ years in cloud/infrastructure roles and 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
Hands-on experience provisioning and operating Azure-hosted enterprise apps (App Service, SQL MI/SQL DB), private networking, Key Vault, App Insights, backup and DR.

Responsibilities

Build governed Azure foundations: landing zones, subscriptions, resource groups, policies, tagging, budgets; establish DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD separation.
Provision Fabric capacities and workspaces; configure access, monitoring, and cost controls; validate sizing and isolation.
Design and implement VNets, NSGs, routing, private endpoints, DNS, firewall/egress, and hybrid connectivity.
Implement Entra ID integration, Azure RBAC, platform access controls, least privilege, and secret management.
Develop and maintain IaC templates and deployment prerequisites for DevOps; troubleshoot deployment issues.
Ensure connectivity for Dynamics 365/Dataverse and REST APIs; enforce sandbox controls.
Establish logging, monitoring, runbooks, backup/recovery readiness, and governance integration.
