At Blueprint, we believe in the power of possibility and are passionate about bringing it to life. Whether you join our bustling product division, our multifaceted services team or you want to grow your career in human resources, your ability to make an impact is amplified when you join one of our teams. You’ll focus on solving unique business problems while gaining hands‑on experience with the world’s best technology. At Blueprint, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple clients and teams, such as data science and product development, all while learning, growing, and developing new solutions. We guarantee you won’t find a better place to work and thrive than at Blueprint.

In This Role

In this role, you will be a hands‑on engineer contributing directly to the modernization, reliability, and secure operation of cloud‑hosted backend services. You’ll work within a two‑week sprint cadence, spending the majority of your time (90%+) on technical execution—coding, testing, troubleshooting, and improving system infrastructure. You will take ownership of scoped engineering initiatives, collaborate through code reviews and design discussions, and help evolve both legacy and modern .NET services. This is a role for someone who enjoys deep technical work, continuous improvement, and building highly reliable cloud services supported by strong engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain backend services using C# across .NET Framework and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+).
  • Modernize existing applications, including migrating to SDK‑style projects, upgrading NuGet packages, and updating runtimes/frameworks.
  • Build and maintain RESTful Web APIs and Azure‑hosted services.
  • Define, update, and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as ARM templates or Bicep.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, including build reliability, workflow modernization, and pipeline migrations.
  • Enhance code quality through refactoring, warning cleanup, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Expand end‑to‑end (E2E) test coverage and implement extended scenarios to strengthen service reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve reliability issues, stalled pipelines, or workflow failures across distributed systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and partner teams via code reviews, design discussions, and shared engineering practices.
  • Contribute to security initiatives such as modernizing identity systems and removing legacy authentication mechanisms.
Required Qualifications
1. C# / .NET Engineering (5–7 years)
  • Strong hands‑on experience with C# in both .NET Framework and modern .NET (Core / 6+).
  • Proven background working in large or legacy codebases, including modernization and refactoring.
  • Experience with SDK‑style project migrations, NuGet upgrades, and runtime/framework upgrades.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code for production‑grade services.
2. Azure & Cloud Services (5–7 years)
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating services hosted in Azure.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful Web API architecture and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Azure resources, subscriptions, environments, and service configuration.
  • Experience with cloud‑based CI/CD and platform upgrades.
3. Infrastructure as Code & DevOps (5–7 years)
  • Strong experience defining and maintaining IaC (ARM templates, Bicep, or equivalent).
  • Background in upgrading or migrating build/deployment pipelines.
  • Understanding of infrastructure modernization, pipeline isolation, and environment compliance.
  • Ability to improve developer productivity through build, test, and automation improvements.
Ways of Working
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum with two‑week sprints.
  • Comfortable participating in standups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Able to work independently on scoped assignments and collaborate in code/design discussions.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and partner teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Experience splitting or migrating workloads to new repositories or isolated environments.
  • Exposure to large‑scale or legacy enterprise systems undergoing modernization.
  • Experience improving developer tooling, build/test infrastructure, or engineering workflows.
  • Background working on secure engineering initiatives, identity modernization, or similar efforts.
  • Familiarity with replacing certificate‑based authentication with modern secure identity patterns.
Salary Range

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $125,000 to $135,000 per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
