Overview:
RIVA is seeking a talentedSenior Azure/M365 Application Developer to support the ITA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining custom mission-critical applications within the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You'll provide innovative solutions that integrate seamlessly, are secure, scalable, and adaptable to evolving technological demands.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong collaboration, a proactive mindset, and an ability to deliver value through Agile and DevSecOps best practices. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering high-quality applications while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with federal security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance custom applications within Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Perform system engineering, integration, and deployment in line with OCIO standards and enterprise architecture.
Lead the translation of complex business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools.
Optimize and innovate existing mission-critical applications through proactive risk assessment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Build and enhance Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to streamline business processes.
Ensure adherence to ITSM, cybersecurity policies, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain application health and enhance user experience.
Support comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software reliability, predictability, and security.
Required Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in custom application development and maintenance within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Proven expertise with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 development: SharePoint Online, Teams integration, and the Power Platform.
Robust experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, and enterprise-level integrations.
Solid knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks including RBAC, IAM, and secure coding standards.
Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
Certifications:
Microsoft AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate (Required within 45 days of joining the team)
Microsoft PL-400 Power Platform Developer Associate (Required within 45 days of joining the team)
Additional Agile, DevSecOps, or cloud security certifications are a strong plus.
