Job summary

HKA's Global IT team is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise security and cloud infrastructure. Based in the USA, you will work with an international team across the globe, including the UK, South Africa, and Australia.

You will manage Azure environments, implement Zero Trust, and apply Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune. The role offers growth, competitive compensation, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• - U.S. citizenship required due to client systems access and GCC High environments.
• - 7+ years infrastructure engineering with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
• - 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity in Microsoft cloud/security environments.
• - Strong communication with high emotional intelligence for diverse audiences.
• - Experience with Azure services: infrastructure, networking, storage, identity management.
• - Experience implementing and supporting Zero Trust security architectures.
• - Deep understanding of IAM, authentication, authorization, and privileged access controls.
• - Experience managing enterprise cloud security programs.
• - Knowledge of endpoint security, encryption, threat mitigation.
• - Automation experience using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure environments for high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain Azure services including VMs, networking, storage, and identity management.
• Monitor performance with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; support incident response and service improvements.
• Administer Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune; enforce Zero Trust controls.
• Oversee identity and access controls, including conditional access and least-privilege principles.
• Lead security reviews of new technologies and architectural changes.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to monitor, investigate, and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Support governance with ISO 27001, NIST CSF/800-171, HIPAA compliance.
