Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated Azure infrastructure and Windows endpoint solutions. You will lead enterprise image engineering, automation, vulnerability remediation, Defender security initiatives, and Windows 11 migration programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure engineering including Azure Portal and Azure CLI.
• Expert-level experience in Azure VM and image engineering for enterprise Windows environments.
• Experience building automated image pipelines with Azure Image Builder and Azure Managed Images.
• 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure automation using Ansible, PowerShell, PSADT, Jinja2, and YAML.
• Strong experience building GitLab CI/CD pipelines with MR workflows and artifact management.
• Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 engineering, Sysprep, deployment, hardening, and Windows Update Services.
• Hands-on vulnerability management, security scans, Defender, Tanium, Nessus, Wiz, Zscaler, CyberArk, patching, remediation, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated Windows image deployment pipelines.
• Lead Azure VM and image engineering activities for enterprise Windows environments.
• Engineer and support Windows 10/11 environments, including patching and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, PowerShell, PSADT, ARM, Jinja2, and YAML.
• Administer and optimize Azure infrastructure components and related services.
• Build and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines with MR workflows and artifacts.
• Conduct security scans, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities with Defender, Tanium, Nessus, Wiz, Zscaler, and CyberArk.
• Monitor platform health and performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Support Windows 11 migration programs in Azure environments.
