Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer in Austin to design, implement, and manage Windows Server infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security while aligning with our client-focused financial services goals.

Responsibilities include AD and server administration, upgrades, patching, and automation-first architecture. You’ll collaborate with IT teams and contribute to documentation and governance to support scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Azure services across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• 5+ years Azure security features such as RBAC, Azure Security Center, and Azure Key Vault; with Azure AD experience.
• 5+ years monitoring and managing Azure resources using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• 5+ years Azure DevOps for CI/CD and IaC; governance concepts with Azure Policy/Bueprint/Cost Management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Active Directory infrastructure to maintain a secure user environment.
• Monitor server performance and conduct health checks to optimize financial applications.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Turbident: Create and maintain technical documentation for recovery processes.
• Drive architecture designs with an 'automation first' approach using IaC.
• Identify risks affecting stability, resiliency, performance, and security.
• Manage OS templates and deployment automation.
• Evaluate tools/products to resolve gaps and participate in roadmap planning.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to meet evolving business needs.
