Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Azure Enclave Administrator to design, secure, and maintain highly controlled enclave environments for a government/defense client. The role is 100% on site in Springfield, VA.

This senior position requires active TS/SCI with eligibility, extensive Azure expertise, and enclave architecture experience, plus hands-on Azure experience and IaC skills. Competitive compensation and full benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• 6+ years in enclave architecture and security engineering.
• 6+ months hands-on Azure production experience (compute, networking, storage, identity).
• Strong experience with Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and Azure AD (Entra ID).
• Experience with hybrid or government cloud environments (Azure Gov).
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, network security, encryption, Zero Trust).
• Certification: CompTIA Security+ and AZ-104 or higher; update within 6 months if not current.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enclave infrastructure to meet security and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and security implementation guides for Tier 2/3 teams.
• Implement and enforce security controls within enclave environments.
• Collaborate with networking, security, and compliance teams to improve security and resilience.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend architecture and configuration improvements.
• Provide strategic IT support for secure enclave operations.
• Create Azure diagrams and maintain IaC artifacts.
