Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on database administration and enterprise data management required.
• Deep expertise in Azure Database Services, SQL data modeling/structure, and ETL development.
• 8–10 years of T-SQL proficiency required.
• 6–8 years of ETL development experience.
• 5 years of PowerShell scripting experience.
• 5 years in Azure DevOps and Scrum frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Cloud & Data Warehouse Engineering: SME for the SLDS data warehouse; architect, migrate, and maintain Azure Database Services while aligning with CEDS standards.
• ETL Pipeline Development & Data Modeling: Design, build, and optimize complex ETL pipelines; migrate legacy on-prem ETLs to cloud.
• Database Administration & Performance Tuning: Data modeling, DDL/DCL, indexing, performance tuning, recovery across multiple environments.
• Infrastructure & Security Governance: Upgrade database servers, DR monitoring, enforce security controls and architecture frameworks.
• DevOps & Agile Delivery: Use Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Scrum to coordinate releases with developers and stakeholders.
