Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Senior Data Engineer to help modernize and scale an eCommerce platform for a major US-based retailer. You will design and implement data solutions that handle large data volumes and integrate with current cloud architecture.

The role focuses on Azure-powered data pipelines, data modeling, and governance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable data platforms while mentoring engineers and aligning with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Experience designing data models to support storage and retrieval.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services for data platforms (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
• ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources into data lakes/warehouses.
• Data integration from databases, APIs, and external providers.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star schemas).
• Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning on cloud storages.
• Experience with metadata and governance on cloud data platforms.
